Education code 51512

The California Education Code 51512 expressed guidelines and expectations by the Department of Education and state with regards to the use of personal, hidden electronic recording devices.

Specifically, the use of such in a school learning environment without the permission of others, and/or individual(s) being recorded. For any administrative personnel or teacher that does such, may it be among another staff member or student will be subject to a misdemeanor offense.
Students (see “pupils), per the California Education Code 51512 are exempt from facing criminal penalties in such instances, however, are expected to face the necessary disciplinary actions within their learning intuition. Also, if the act of such is in conjunction with any other crime, it is also exempt from not facing legal prosecution or consequences for herein act(s).
